Our Oyster TC taste and chemicals under sink drinking water filter system dramatically improves the taste and odour of your water and removes chlorine, chemicals and sediments.

You can mount this filter as an under sink water filter system or on your bench top.

The housing dimensions are 34H x 26W x 13D (volume occupied in cm).

Your kit will include:

  • 2 x white filter housings.
  • 1 x dual white housing bracket.
  • 1 x 5 micron activated carbon block cartridge (F109009).
  • 1 x 0.5 micron solid block activated carbon cartridge (MAXCL-975).
  • A choice of drinking water filter taps or you can choose the 'no tap' option. You would choose the 'no tap' option if you already have a tap or wish to buy a 3 way tap.
  • Either a self-piercing saddle valve or a 15mm compression valve.
  • Red and Blue tubing [2 metres of each].
  • 1 x housing spanner.
  • DIY instructions - no need for a plumber!

Cartridge details:

  • Watts F109009 top of the line coconut shell carbon block filter cartridge for chlorine, taste and odour and sediment reduction in water.
  • 2.5 x 10".
  • 5 micron - greater than 90% chlorine reduction.
  • Chlorine reduction 10,000 gallons @ 1 gpm or 12 months; whichever comes first.
  • Thick wall carbon construction for superior performance.
  • Outperforms granulated activated carbon (GAC) cartridges as it has superior chlorine reduction, lower pressure drop and will not channel.
  • Media wrap between centre tube and carbon block to reduce carbon fibres.
  • Maximum operating pressure - 125psi.
  • Operating temperature - 50°F to 125°F / 10°C to 52°C.
  • Tested and certified NSF/ANSI standard 42 for materials only.
  • FDA grade components and materials.
  • Tested and verified by independent laboratory testing.

  • MAXCL-975 (maximum chlorine reduction) 2.5 x 10" solid block activated carbon water filter cartridge for water treatment.
  • Reduces sediment and rust particles. 0.5 micron nominal filtration.
  • Thick wall for long life and greater taste and odour reduction.
  • Highly effective Chlorine, taste and odour reduction through 20,000 gallons/77,000 litres @ 1 gpm flow rate.
  • Reduction of certain VOC's.
  • Temperature range 40-165°F (4.4-73.8°C)
  • Tested and certified by NSF International under NSF/ANSI standard 42 for material requirements only.

What order do the cartridges go in?

In most circumstances the lowest micron rated cartridge goes last in the sequence (on the water out / blue tubing side). For the Oyster Taste and Chemicals under sink water filter the 5 micron carbon block cartridge goes first in the sequence, followed by the 0.5 micron MAXCL-975.
